Milk and Honey - London: A Happy New Year To All We do hope that everyone enjoyed the festive season and got some well-deserved rest for Christmas and the New Year.

After a couple of weeks of rest, we believe it is now time to get back to more serious things - such as cocktails. We thus would like to invite you to the first event of the year at Milk and Honey in our Basement Bar.

Travelling through a flight of mini martinis to explore the evolution and modern styles of the drink, Jamie Walker, the Commercial Director for The East India Company Gin and a gin expert with more than 20 years of experience working with gin and travelling the world educating and discovering more about the spirit, will host on Wednesday the 31st of January a masterclass on arguably the world’s most famous cocktail - the Martini.

The beauty of a classic like the martini is that it allows a gin’s true character to shine through thus showcasing the flavour of the gin, as well as how it plays in a cocktail.

For this chat, Jamie will start with precursor to the Martini - the Martinez - and then show off two other types of Martinis, speaking as to how gin has also changed in its journey.

He will also speak briefly on The East India Company Gin and how we created a liquid to work in classic cocktails that still has a separate identity to become a catalyst for new cocktail creations.

For those who would love to stay for a drink afterwards, the team at Milk and Honey will then take over the bar with a small menu centred on the Martini and its variations.

As usual, all members are all most welcome but as seats are limited please do call our office at 0207 065 6800 or email us at bookings@rshmr.com in order to save yourself a seat and ensure you can enjoy that evening with us.

We hope to see a lot of you there! We will send you another newsletter as soon as the following events are confirmed. Until then, do come for a drink! Pierre-Marie
